RJTW is the antidote to expensive travel sports and burnt-out-too-young-sport specialists. Or, it's the exercise needed to put an overactive child to sleep on time. Or, it's the fix for the kid that is picked last. Every young person should know how to have fun Running, Jumping, Throwing and Wheeling!
Beginning Saturday, April 1, 2023 we will be hosting our RJTW+Swim sessions. The dates are April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 at the King's-Edgehill School Ted Canavan Athletic Centre. Our month of practicing for elementary ages 7 - U14 athletes will culminate in a tetrathlon at Beazley Field on May 6 for all participants (60m sprint, 600m run, long jump, shot put). Over those four 45 minute sessions (10:35am - 11:20am) you will learn through games how to run, jump, throw, wheel and swim like an Olympian. Our primary coaches in the gym and on the track will be national champions Paula James and Ed James. Phillip Hadley will lead the 30 minute swimming sessions (11:30am - 12:00pm).
It is preferred that participants are not non-swimmers, but reach out to us if you are unsure. Depending on numbers, there will be at least one lifeguard. The abilities of the participants will determine how much learn-to-swim we do as opposed to stroke improvement for the more advanced.
